Volatiles, much like Sentient Overminds, are very strange programs amongst the Rhommox swarms. These creatures manifest as little more than armored spheres born aloft by insectoid wings. The orbs themselves are armored with chitinous plates, while their bottom half resembles seeping brain-matter that continuously drips a corrosive liquid in its path, similar to that found in the Incendiaries. The Volatiles’ wings are a translucent membrane, and the buzzing sounds they produce are often the first sign that alerts the unsuspecting; however, by the time the hapless have heard that distinctive sound, it is often far, far too late.
