Dataceps do not engage their victims directly. Instead, they seek out a suitable host program and wait for an ideal moment to strike. Their infestation occurs on two fronts: first in the hyper-reality of the Aetherium, and second within the user’s actual hardware. Dataceps need only make physical code-contact with their prey in the Aetherium to begin the dismantling process.
